I’ve been playing drums and percussion for over 20 years, and they’re an integral part of my life. I play both Brazilian and African drums and regularly travel to Brazil, where I learn from the best musicians and perform with leading samba groups.
In my classes, I don’t just aim to teach technique, but above all to share the joy of rhythm, the joy of playing together, and the energy that samba brings. Samba is the joy of life expressed through drums. I pass it on with the same reverence and respect with which it was passed on to me.
